Greg has been a paddler for 35 years, beginning with chasing the dream of winning the Dusi Canoe Marathon in South Africa, which he did twice as a junior. Over the years he has raced for South Africa and Canada at seven World Championships in Sprint and Marathon. He began surf ski paddling in 2014 and has been the Canadian Surf Ski Champion four times. His passion though is optimizing human performance and has combined his university degrees in sport science and physiotherapy with his 16 years of experience as the Head Therapist with the Canadian Olympic Canoe Kayak Program. The goal with this PaddleLAB online coaching tool is to help paddlers be better on the water, fitter in life and overall have more enjoyment being on the water.

PaddleLAB Ocean Racing Team Program 

 

If you want to beat your friends at the local Evening Paddle Race or best your mates in your age group at the the big race of the year then this program is for you.

 

Time Crunched Athlete Program
The program for the working man or woman who wants to perform as best they can at 3 to 4 surf ski races a year. This program understands that the athlete has a full-time job, and family and so has limited time and resources. This program has 4-5 paddle and 1-2 dry land workouts a week and is based on a Yearly Training Plan (YTP) which is periodized over the year with a focus on strength in the winter, aerobic capacity in the spring and fall, and finally a competitive season where boat speed and physiological performance is maximized to race optimally. This program runs all year and so includes off-season workouts with the goal of preparing you for the 3-4 month surf ski season.
Commitment level: 8 – 12 hours/week
Cost: $15/month
